Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Freddy Docs (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Service. By using Freddy Docs, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use information

3. How your documents are handled and retained

4. AI processing

To perform a review, document content is sent to our third-party AI provider (Anthropic) under a data-processing agreement. Processing is used only to generate your result and is not used to train models. By uploading a document you consent to this processing.

If you enable the optional Deep Check, the AI provider additionally performs live web lookups (search and page retrieval) to verify the legal citations in your document. Queries derived from your document’s citations may be sent to external search and web sources as part of this verification. Leave Deep Check off if you do not want this.

5. Service providers (subprocessors)

We share information with vendors only as needed to run the Service:

We do not sell your personal information or Your Content.

6. Data retention

We retain account and review data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Raw uploaded files are deleted shortly after extraction. You may request deletion of your account and associated data (see “Your choices”). We may retain limited records where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, scoped access controls, and an append-only audit log. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can access and update your account information, view your billing history, and request deletion of your account and data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability); we will honor applicable requests.

9. Confidential and privileged materials

If you are a legal professional uploading client materials, you are responsible for ensuring that doing so is consistent with your confidentiality and professional-responsibility obligations and with your client’s instructions.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.
